"I wanted to present the Vejigante in a new light, for a new generation. The background isn't just an abstract pattern; it's a top-down view of the streets of Loíza. Those colorful squares represent the rooftops, the concrete jungle where our culture thrives daily. My father, Samuel Lind, has often focused on the Vejigante as a protector of nature, of the palms. I wanted to take that core idea of a guardian and bring it to the streets.
That's why the perspective is from the bottom looking up. I wanted to give the Vejigante a heroic, protector-like stance—almost like a superhero. He's rising above the concrete jungle, not just as a figure of the festival, but as a guardian of our community, inviting you to follow him and join in the cause of celebrating and preserving our culture."
